Training Run

I had a great day! It was Youth Sunday, so they sang a bunch of good songs, and then, since I was already at church, I went North to the Madison County Trail to run. I took the MCT Schoolhouse Trail to the MCT Goshen Trail. Then afterward I went to Bobby's Custard and got the special: blackberry pecan concrete! Yum!

I ran 5 miles out and 5 miles back -- it would be nice to continue down the trail to see where it goes, but I had to get back to the car somehow! The park where the trail starts is pretty.

There were lots of people biking. And one AWESOME guy on roller blades who was being pulled by his two dogs! I would totally wipe out, but he seemed to be doing well!

I ran pretty slowly today, since I just ran 10 miles on Friday, but it was a good test for feeling tired at the end of the half marathon. I totally feel ready...I wish it was in a few weeks instead of at the end of July!

I went to the grocery store (after I mowed the stupid lawn), so I'm ready for this week! I'm going to try tuna stuffed hard boiled eggs, and roasted chicken with broccoli and quinoa (and homemade teriyaki sauce), along with the standby cauliflower pizza.

  2. It's really a recipe. You can make crust out of cauliflower (with eggs and cheese), but I like this version better. It's much easier. http://www.ibreatheimhungry.com/2013/05/pepperoni-pizza-cauliflower-casserole-low-carb-and-gluten-free.html
